About 2 minutes left, Rockets with a 100-89 lead.
Looks like they're going to hold on this time. Brooks played extremely well and so has Carl Landry.
Hopefully they work out what's going on defensively. This team looks like they've lost their passion on defense.

1/31/09 Warriors @ Rockets End of 3
Rockets playing inconsistent...Luckily the bench has picked up its game. Aaron Brooks is playing really well.
Rockets playing just horrid defense and it seems like its been like that for a few months now

1/31/09 Warriors @ Rockets Halftime
53-51 Rockets after CJ Watson hit a half court shot at the buzzer to end the half.
The bench played well in the 2nd quarter, especially Aaron Brooks. Brooks looks like he's out of his slump and playing a lot more aggressively.
Freethrows have been a problem though. The Rockets are shooting 15-of-22 from the line.

25-20 Hou
Rockets shooting 38 percent, missed four free throws and up 5...
That will have to change if the Rockets want to win this game.

8 secs?
Monte Ellis just got called for an 8 second violation...do we see those any more??
That's the first one I've seen this season

1/31/09 Warriors @ Rockets 40 minutes until tipoff
Is it just me or should Houston Rockets fans be worried that their top two players never shoot around before they all come out?
I'm just wondering because I see Stephen Jackson and Monte Ellis shoot around for the Warriors for about 20 minutes.
Just curious..

Broken Wrist
So I broke my wrist on Sunday and its been a pain ever since. My first broken bone ever and hopefully my last.
I will retire from tackle football as of right now. That's right, at the tender age of 24, I retire from tackle football. I've enjoyed the moments its given to me and I have to say I won't miss it at all.
Anyway, I can't type too long, so I'll keep this short. Sunday on the Front Page we've got the almighty Jason Friedman from Rockets.com joining us along with Tim Kurkjian from ESPN.

Heat @ Rockets Jan. 17, 2009 End of 1st
Rockets 25 Heat 21
Yao with 10 points. Rockets look good.
Baby race, no contest. Baby with Longhorns shirt ran that sucker, while the others crawled.
I wonder how Daryl Morey is doing?
Batteries running out...No more posts this game

Heat @ Rockets Jan. 17, 2009 First Timeout
Rockets shooting 62 percent, 0-for-3 from three-point land...As we speak, it's Daryl Morey's son's birthday and of course Clutch had to be a part if it...He runs up the stairs with a cake for Morey's son and BAM, hit's Daryl in the face with the cake.
Von Wafer, Yao and Luis look really good.

Heat @ Rockets Jan. 17, 2009 Tip
Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming exchanged a hi-five during starting introductions.
Looks like the Rockets will only dress 10 players again this game.
Von Wafer starts off the game with a lay-up all by himself.

Heat @ Rockets Jan. 17, 2009 30 minutes until tip
30 minutes until tip off and look what we have here, Ron Artest shooting around and mingling with fans. Artest shot around for 10 minutes and now sitting down with a few fans.
It was good to see Artest out and shooting around. My question is, where was Tracy McGrady? Not to pile on T-Mac, but it's a little strange that we don't see him around for the last few games.
As Artest was shooting around, I could hear the Red Rowdies making their way through Toyota Center. They really make an often quiet Toyota Center really loud.
We all know Toyota Center isn't the most intimidating place to place. It probably ranks somewhere in the middle, that's just a guess if you poll players.
What really impressed me was Von Wafer. He came out around 70 minutes until tip-off and shot around for a good 35-40 minutes.
Wafer played extremely well Tuesday against the Laker. He should be able to play well for the next week or so, before scouting reports come out on him. He'll probably have to adjust next week, but he should play well against the Heat.
About 20 minutes until game time, it should be a good game. If the Rockets hold down the perimeter shooting, the Heat shouldn't leave Houston with a win. Dwyane Wade will get his points, but force him into turnovers and the Rockets should be fine. FTY, Dwyane Wade celebrated his birthday last night at the House of Blues.

Heat @ Rockets Jan. 17, 2009 80 minutes until tip
83 minutes until game time, and guess who's out here practicing free throws? Rafer Alston. After missing two free throws against the Lakers on Jan. 13 that could have tied the game, Alston is on the practice court going over his throws.
It's good to see some Rockets out here practicing early, like Luis Scola, Shane Battier and Aaron Brooks.
Aaron Brooks is sporting a headband right now. Will he be busting it out for the first time this season?
Battier is on the baseline practicing jumpers, Scola's running across the top of the key and catching and shooting and Brooks is at the very top taking threes.
Chuck Hayes and Carl Landry make their way to the floor to do some stretching.
That's it for now...Well we see a few Heat on the floor. Shawn Marion, Daequan Cook, Udonis Haslem and Mark Blount.
